A dim sum place that has a very wide and flavourful variety of dim sum dishes that are traditional. The Hargow and dumplings are a must get, but none of the dishes are misses. Just order whatever peaks your interest, and enjoy to your heart's content! As with most of Flushing, it gets really busy during typical lunch hours, and even though they have a valet service, parking is sometimes a bit hectic. Try to get there early, or factor in some extra time for travelling to and from the area!

Came here for dimsum. Surprisingly the wait wasn't too long. The food is classic, everything was average, nothing was exceptional and nothing was bad. The place is decorated like a classic dim sum canto place. The ladies pushing the cart around are very friendly.

Dim sum cart restaurants are going extinct, so it was nice to be able to come to one for the experience, and a Michelin one at that. The service was your typical brusque Chinese restaurant and the food was actually on the higher quality of those I've had. And I've had a lot of dim sum in the Arcadia area. Definitely a solid place with good execution of the classics like har gow, Cheung fun, and chicken feet, but nothing to write home about.

My grandpa used to take us to dim sum weekly, so it holds a nostalgic place in our family traditions. Located right across from the newly built mall, Asian Jewels in Flushing is a beloved dim sum restaurant known for its solid and authentic offerings. The restaurant is quite spacious, and when I visited with a group of six on a weekend, we were able to get a table after a short wait. There were other people in the lobby waiting with us. If you're driving here for dim sum, it's pretty accessible given that there's a parking lot right next to the restaurant. Typical of the dim sum experience, Asian aunties come by with their carts filled with fresh, hot food, and you can pick up a few plates in exchange for a small doodle / stamp in our tracking paper. Sometimes they would convince you to try something new from their cart, and push a dish or two towards your table. Our food arrived piping hot, and everything was fresh. My favorite options at any dim sum are shumai, ha cheung, and pork spareribs--definitely a must-try. The infinite refills of Jasmine tea were a nice complement. Interestingly, Asian Jewels has a Michelin guide recommendation, which is pretty cool. However, I honestly can't distinguish the quality of their dim sum from other places. Definitely a solid option for dim sum when you're in Flushing though :)

It's been a hot minute since I had dim sum at Asian Jewels, and it seems the only thing that has changed is that they take credit cards now. Asian Jewels is one of the few sit-down restaurants in the area that opens before 11am, so it's a great choice for the early birds. There is an adjacent parking lot too. The dim sum served include classics like chicken feet and spare ribs. I will say that the quality of the food here is fairly decent-- my favorite dish was the cilantro rice noodle roll, which was a special order. It was slippery, chewy, and packed with tons of herbs. The service was prompt and the food was plentiful. Definitely still one of the best dim sum spots in Flushing!

Dim Sum was great! Service was good too. The staff talked minimally to us, but they were quick to take away finished plates and replace tea without us asking. Staff started speaking to me in Chinese, and I'm not fluent but it was no issue communicating in English - whether I asked for specific dishes (then the staff called over the person with the cart) or asked for more napkins. Disclaimer: I didn't order any ala carte dishes, so I can't speak to those. But the food we ordered from the carts were really delicious. Even the tea was great! I liked how many of the dishes came with 4 pieces, as many places just have 3. (An even number is easier to share and more common as dining parties I think!!) Even the sticky rice in bamboo comes with 4 separate pieces, which makes it easy to portion out with larger groups. I'd say the turnip cake (luo bo gao) was not fresh and at room temperature, so I'd recommend getting the dishes where you see the steam coming off; are kept in the carts that are heated. Great food and service!! Will definitely be coming back.

Food (5/5): Went here for a friend's bday, overall the dim sum is solid with a lot of options for a decent price. The shrimp har gow, shumai, and pork spareribs were my favorites. Service (4/5): Servers will walk around in carts and you can select from the carts. The servers aren't the friendliest but they will get the food out efficiently and they came to our table frequently. Ambiance (4/5): A spacious restaurant with tons of seating. Overall quite clean and good setup. I was here for friend's bday with a lot of people and it was able to accommodate without issues.
